Epigrammata LXIII

the path of mem’ry / today is to be despised / we will still forget.

Olympics, dead as a discipline 
in this year it might have been 
caught trying to be a film in France 
achievement of man has lost romance 
it does not subvert, what good is it 
cannot find a glove to fit 
a shame for greatest athletes 
when hist'ry rhymes it still repeats 
now when it rains, instead it sleets.
