Poemata, XI

BORN in prayer, and to those who pray
 An answer, in speaking and in song
Constant; and so she is known, I say
 In singing she will be ever long
Heard as one who opinions spoke
Unsought-for, under first the cloak
 Of night, but then as bells are strong
When ringing out, with dawn she woke.
